What's one piece of accounting advice you think all business owners should follow?
If in doubt ask, do not just guess.

What's your role at the firm, and what does a typical day look like for you?
I am an accounts assistant so I mainly do year end account prep and management accounts. I also review VAT returns. I have experience in all aspects therefore I also know about payroll.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside work I like watching films, listening to music and spending time with my family.

What's one myth about accountants you'd like to bust?
Accounting is not Maths.

If you could automate one part of accounting forever, what would it be and why?
Record keeping/paperless. Even though software is encouraged, not everybody does it and people still bring in a box of receipts and/or bank statements. This would reduce the likelihood of missing information. This would also give the client the responsibility for possible missing or incorrect information instead of the accountant. Not everything can be automated and if you put in bad Information, you get bad information out.

If I wasn't an accountant, I would be...
My dream job would be detective in the police force.
