Troy has just completed his Level 4 AAT qualifications and is now fully qualified AAT. Troy is looking to build his finance career and in particular build on his bookkeeping and payroll skills. Outside of work Troy enjoys playing football and running. Troy is currently training for a 10k race and is hoping to complete the London Marathon one day.

What's one piece of accounting advice you think all business owners should follow?
Know your numbers…(as a business owner you should have a firm grasp of the important numbers such as what you owe the taxman etc).

What's your role at the firm, and what does a typical day look like for you?
Accounts assistant, bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll, tax returns (CIS, VAT, RTI/PAYE submissions).

What do you like to do outside of work?
Lifting weights in the gym, going on hikes/traveling, spending time with family.

What's one myth about accountants you'd like to bust?
We’re not boring!.

If you could automate one part of accounting forever, what would it be and why?
Requesting and receiving info from clients.
